THE LAW OFFICE OF SEAN BROWN WINS CERTIFICATE OF INNOCENCE FOR CLIENT
The client had been convicted of Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon (UUWF) and had been sentenced to 26 months in prison. Several years later, the Illinois Appellate Court reversed the conviction. Following the Illinois Appellate Court’s decision, the client hired the Law Office of Sean Brown, and we filed a Petition for a Certificate of Innocence. The trial court originally denied the petition, but after hearing strong arguments from attorney Sean Brown, the trial court reconsidered its decision and granted our client's petition, finding that we offered sufficient proof of our client's innocence.

ATTORNEY SEAN BROWN PERSUADES FEDERAL COURT TO GRANT COMPASSIONATE RELEASE
FBI agents arrested the defendant in connection with a Brinks Truck Robbery. The evidence was overwhelming, so the defendant client pleaded guilty to the federal offense charged against him. Facing a minimum of 111 months of incarceration, The Law Office of Sean Brown successfully urged the federal court to deviate below the minimum penalty, and the court sentenced the defendant to 87 months of incarceration. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Law Office of Sean Brown then filed a motion with the federal court for early release, and the federal court granted the motion and released the defendant from federal prison after serving only 24 months of an 87 month sentence.
